Now we get into the interesting songs. Here is the theme of the first level: Rainbow Route, one of my favourites! It has a steady, march-like feel, so I used militaristic snare patterns, bombastic cymbal crashes, and powerful timpani strikes. I really wanted to emphasize the brass as well, so I added a tuba to the bassline, and made sure the trumpet flourishes and harmonies sounded appropriately triumphant.
